Northwell Health-GoHealth Urgent Care Leader Elected to Urgent Care Association Board of Directors

Northwell Health-GoHealth Urgent Care is pleased to announce Lead Advanced Practitioner Jackie McDevitt, PA-C, has been elected to the Board of Directors of Urgent Care Association (UCA).

As a Director, Ms. McDevitt will help govern UCA, an organization of leaders, providers and suppliers in the field of on-demand, consumer-focused healthcare.

In her role at Northwell Health-GoHealth Urgent Care, Ms. McDevitt helps oversee the network’s urgent care centers and its virtual platform in New York.

An industry leader, Ms. McDevitt has been instrumental to Northwell Health-GoHealth Urgent Care’s Covid-19 strategic planning. She has been a driving force in the center’s antibiotic stewardship initiatives and in triage-process streamlining, team-member training, workflow efficiencies and tele-health launch and oversight. She has also implemented skills workshops, staffing model modifications and student-rotation coordination.

“Jackie McDevitt is one of the best examples of servant leadership that I have ever encountered in my career. She inspires others to improve themselves at every opportunity. John Quincy Adams once said ‘If your actions inspire people to dream more, learn more, do more, and become more, you are a leader.’ That is Jackie in a nutshell” said Dr. Neal Shipley, Medical Director - Northwell Health-GoHealth Urgent Care.

“I am honored to serve on the Board of Directors of Urgent Care Association. As the scope of urgent-care medicine rapidly evolves, I am proud to help ensure that practitioners provide the very best care for our communities,” Ms. McDevitt said.
